Shrimp is a free (GPL) interactive Renderman shader creator. 

The user plugs together pre-defined building blocks in a network, and Shrimp will take care of generating all the shader code.

May 17th 2004 Shrimp 0.4.1 released. Includes ambientlight and distantlight shaders, now compiles with GCC 3.3. Download it here.
May 12th 2004 Shrimp 0.4 released. Includes impossible-to-find SDP libraries; download there.
Feb 22nd 2001 Shrimp 0.3.4 released. A few changes here and there.
Dec 12th 2000 Added a tutorial on writing your own blocks.
Dec 3rd 2000 Fixed a bug in previous release. Previews work properly again.
Oct 30th 2000 Shrimp 0.3.2 adds a code preview, and is available here.
